The Iki–Kalevala (Everlasting Kalevala) is an enduring metallic version of the original Kalevala. It is Eloquense’s flagship that combines national historic art and literature with high-tech metal laser marking technology to preserve Finland’s cultural heritage for the coming millennia.

This lasting literary work of art consists of 24 aluminum pages with 22 original poems that are accompanied by 22 specially made illustrations by the hand of Estonian-Russian artist Sergei Minin.

The original Kalevala is a 19th-century work of epic poetry compiled by Elias Lönnrot from Karelian and Finnish oral folklore and mythology. The book was first published in 1835 and played an influential role in the development of the Finnish identity, the escalation of Finland’s language dispute and the growing sense of nationality.
